Seret & Sons, Santa Fe
During his 15 years in Afghanistan, Ira Seret developed his unique style of carpet, fabric, and furniture design. Buying and designing for the likes of Ann Klein, Oscar de la Renta, Angela Dongihiou, Bloomingdales, Stark Carpet, and many others, Ira has established himself as the premier resource to the design community. Ira began creating and exporting Afghan coats, tents, and dhurries just as Asian style entered the marketplace. In 1979, following a Russian backed coup in Afghanistan, Ira and Sylvia Seret moved to Santa Fe, NM where they established Seret & Sons, a marketplace to showcase their private collection amassed during their time overseas. Seret & Sons quickly became a one of a kind experience and expanded to a 50,000 square foot showroom. Seret & Sons is now considered one of the largest and most unique collections of Middle East and south Asian imports in the world.
